This CLEET CE approved course examines the realities of armed encounters at extreme close distances where time, space, and options rapidly collapse. Emphasis is placed on understanding how proximity changes decision-making, disrupts traditional shooting assumptions, and increases cognitive load under stress. Students explore why concepts such as draw versus retention, slide lock, follow-up shots, and one-handed operation become critical at close range, and why many common range habits fail when distance disappears. The course focuses on awareness, judgment, and reality-based considerations rather than step-by-step techniques.
