Introduction to Handgun Safety and Operation This course is designed for individuals with little to no experience who want a safe, responsible introduction to handgun use. We start with the fundamentals that matter most: how to safely handle a handgun, understand its basic operation, and build confidence through guided, hands-on instruction. Students will learn proper grip, stance, sight alignment, and trigger control, along with essential safety habits that apply both at the range and in everyday ownership. Instruction is calm, structured, and judgment-free. There is no pressure to perform and no assumption of prior knowledge. Questions are encouraged, and the pace is intentionally measured to ensure understanding rather than memorization. This course includes supervised live-fire instruction so students can apply what they’ve learned in a controlled environment. The focus is on safe handling, clarity, and developing a solid foundation to build on.
