The 2021 National Firearms Survey found that 53.9% of reported defensive firearm uses occurred on the defender's own property. There may be no higher-stakes use of a firearm than defending your family inside your own home. You're making decisions in darkness, under extreme stress, in a place occupied by the people you're trying to protect. You may have seconds to determine where your family is, what you're facing, whether to move or stay put, whether force is necessary, and what happens after you call 911. That deserves more than a generic home-defense class. Protect This House is an intensive private training experience built around your home, your family, your capabilities, and the decisions you may actually have to make. I built this program from years of real-world experience searching homes for fugitives, working doors, hallways and corners, making high-risk apprehensions, physically fighting violent offenders, carrying a firearm professionally, teaching armed citizens and professionals, studying Oklahoma self-defense law, and working alongside legal professionals. Home defense is also personal to me. Because of my profession, the possibility of someone bringing violence to my home isn't an abstract scenario I invented for a class. It is something I have had to seriously consider in protecting my own family. That perspective shapes this entire program. We aren't simply going to talk about how to clear a room. We're going to examine the decisions that come before the gun, the realities of moving through an occupied home, when movement becomes dangerous, firearm deployment, room clearing, threat recognition, use-of-force decisions, and what happens after the incident. Then we'll turn those lessons into a home-defense strategy you can actually use. You'll leave with an individualized training plan, including instructor-led recommendations and dry-fire work designed to continue developing the skills your particular situation requires. I take this training seriously for another reason. If one of my students is ever involved in a defensive shooting, there is a very real possibility that the decisions I taught them will eventually be examined in a courtroom and that I could be called to explain that training. I teach accordingly. The core program does not include live fire. However, a personalized live fire training program may be offered. The core program generally takes 4 hours, give or take.
