Modern Defensive Tactics- Advanced Concealed Carry

4 hr
200
Oklahoma City

Service Description

This instruction covers the fundamentals of running a shotgun safely, efficiently, and with purpose. Training begins with core safety principles specific to shotguns, including loading and unloading procedures, safe condition checks, and muzzle and trigger discipline unique to long guns. Instruction includes ammunition selection and performance considerations. Buckshot, birdshot, and slugs are explained in plain terms, including patterning, penetration, recoil management, and realistic expectations. Students learn why ammunition choice matters and how to select loads appropriate for training, home defense, and liability considerations. Operational training focuses on stance, mount, recoil control, cycling, reloads, malfunction awareness, and efficient manipulation under stress. Emphasis is placed on running the shotgun smoothly and decisively without wasted motion. Topics include movement within confined spaces, target discrimination, over-penetration concerns, storage considerations, and the legal and practical context of defensive shotgun use indoors. *This training and qualification is consistent with Oklahoma statute permitting the use of pump-action shotguns by armed security officers when employer-authorized. While CLEET does not publish a specific shotgun course of fire, this program is conducted by a CLEET-certified firearms instructor and is designed to meet professional training and documentation standards recognized for CLEET-licensed armed security personnel. *The course concludes with a structured shotgun qualification and issuance of training documentation suitable for employer records and continuing education purposes. This course can be individual, small groups, class, or teams.
