Service Description
Oklahoma Self-Defense Act (SDA) Firearms Course Description This Oklahoma Self-Defense Act (SDA) course satisfies the required classroom instruction, written exam, and live-fire qualification necessary to apply for an Oklahoma SDA license. The classroom portion will be conducted at the Oklahoma Bail Bondsman’s Association beginning at 9:00 AM and concluding at approximately 4:00 PM. The live-fire qualification will be conducted after the classroom portion at a local range. This course is designed as a professional, structured compliance course. It is suitable for both private citizens and professionals. Important Information • Attendance at the full classroom session and the live-fire qualification is a statutory requirement to receive a certificate. • Class size is limited and registration is required in advance Firearms & Safety Policy •There will be no live ammunition handled in the classroom. •Firearms may be present only if unloaded and must remain holstered or cased at all times. •No firearms will be handled in the classroom. •Live-fire will occur only at the range under range safety procedures. What to Bring • A reliable handgun suitable for qualification • Eye and ear protection • Ammunition for qualification (50 rounds minimum) • Government-issued photo ID Registration Registration is limited to 15 students. Payment is required to reserve a seat.
